Itinerary

Day 1 Minori

Make your own way to the hotel where your Holiday Director will meet you for your welcome meeting this evening. Meals included: D

Day 2 Pompeii

Few places have captured the imagination quite like Pompeii and today we will discover its sights. Pompeii's sheer scale is immense and on our guided tour you will be able to imagine what life was like before Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, smothering the town and its inhabitants in hot ash. As we wander through the streets, we'll see villas decorated with frescos and brightly coloured mosaics, the remarkable Roman baths and spectacular amphitheatre.

Day 3 Minori - at Leisure

You are free to explore further at your own pace today. Alternatively, why not join our optional excursion to the beautiful island of Capri. Dinner is served at the hotel this evening.

Day 4 Minori - at Leisure

A further day at leisure gives you more time to explore at your own pace. If you'd like to see and do more, you may choose to join our full-day optional excursion which takes you on a scenic coastal drive to the beautiful town of Amalfi. Dinner is served at the hotel this evening.

Day 5 Minori - at Leisure

Enjoy another day at leisure or join our optional excursion to Mount Vesuvius, which last erupted in 1944. Having admired Vesuvius from a distance so far, this is your opportunity to experience it close up. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 6 Minori - at Leisure

This morning we offer an optional excursion to the Roman town of Herculaneum which was buried by the same eruption that destroyed Pompeii. We'll enjoy a guided tour of the ruins here, which are actually better preserved than their more famous counterpart. Next we'll visit the Archaeological Museum in Naples. Or if you prefer, you can relax and explore the charming town of Minori.

Day 7 Sorrento

We'll spend the final day of our holiday in the lively seaside resort of Sorrento, which boasts stunning scenery as well as elegant restaurants, pavement cafés and a variety of shops. In the company of your Holiday Director, enjoy the bustle of the main square, stroll through narrow lanes, dip into traditional trattorias and step inside intriguing ateliers.
Limoncello is a popular drink in this part of Italy and we'll get a chance to try a sample. You could even join our optional 3 hour cookery class followed by lunch for a chance to learn to cook typical recipes handed down for many generations. This evening we'll enjoy a farewell get-together and dinner in the hotel.

As is in the name, it was formerly an ancient Roman Villa, and this is evident through the classic style and comfort of the hotel. Your lesson will be held in a large kitchen specially designed to make this a perfect culinary delight in the Sorrento Hills. All the dishes are made only with the freshest of ingredients and follow typical recipes that have been handed down for many generations.
Each class lasts approximately 3 hours with an included lunch which will be based on the lesson’s subject.
Generally, menus are composed of: mozzarella tasting, fresh pasta, eggplant parmigiana as second course and dessert. Your meal will be accompanied by wine, mineral water and a limoncello tasting.

Amalfi and the Coast

Amalfi and the Coast

Get your cameras at the ready for this full-day tour which begins with a drive along the stunning Amalfi coastline. First stop is Amalfi, a picturesque town of whitewashed houses carved into the surrounding mountains.

Due to its incredible popularity there are restrictions along the Amalfi roads depending on the size of the vehicle, day of the week and other variables, and can also be impacted by local weather conditions. To meet these requirements our itinerary will be adapted and confirmed on the day.

After Amalfi we may sail to the harbour of Maiori and continue along the hill to Ravello. Either way make sure to bring along your camera to capture the spectacular views along your journey.

Take an exciting drive up Mount Vesuvius – the volcano that destroyed the town of Pompeii in 79AD, and mainland Europe’s only active volcano. Leaving the vehicle behind you can walk right up to the crater to enjoy breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples to each side before peering down into the depths of the crater, where you’ll see a river of solidified lava and sometimes plumes of rising steam.
